“…this quote shows that this poor kid doesn’t live anything close to a normal six year old life. He has to worry about killing people and saving the world; not normal.”( Lindsey’s Post )
This person is saying that Ender is not having a normal six year olds life. He has to go out and fight in a war instead of doing normal six year old things like playing with other six year olds and going to school. What Ender is doing is not normal. No six year old is training to be in the army and getting ready to save his nation.
This idea that Lindsey had are very similar to mine. I also believe that six year olds should be living a normal six year olds life in anyway that they can. They shouldn’t be fighting in wars and playing killer video games at this age. That is for when you are about 16-18 years old and Ender is no where near that yet. Most of these kids in the book that are training aren’t even old enough to be in this war as well. This quote appealed to me because it relates to the hole question of when is a child ready to be in a war and playing killer video games? The answer i have already told you and thats between 16-18 years of age.
People these days try to censer everything. Television, movies and also video games. But in this book they play killer games and aren’t being censored to violence. In this day and age kids are not allowed to play these games and they have on the game what age level is allowed to play. Why is this book not have that? They are supposedly in the future but in the present we have this and they don’t. Maybe we are a greater nation or this book was written too long ago to understand things such as censers.
